NGW-1 and ICOM IC-M500TR AIS transponder
The above ICOM has NMEA0183 facilities. I'm installing an NMEA2k system on my boat. Each crew member will have a Rescueme MOB1 AIS device. When activated, the location of the MOB is displayed on the ICOM MA-500TR which is located in the cabin. However, an NMEA 2k chartplotter is located in the cockpit. Would like to see the MOB's position on the charplotter. Would the NGW-1 allow for the MOB1 AIS information to be displayed on the chartplotter via the NGW-1? Thanks.
